Child protection Promotion Focusing on Addressing Child Marriage program

Location: 12 Districts of Lumbini Province including 109 Local Governments Funding Partner: UNICEF 2019 September – August 2026 The project aims to promote child protection by preventing child marriage through awareness, community engagement, and strengthened local systems. It empowers children, parents, and community leaders—especially through the RUPANTARAN classes—to understand the risks of child marriage and adopt positive behaviors. By building local capacity and improving coordination with schools and municipalities, the program works to create a safe, supportive environment where children can grow, learn, and pursue their futures free from early marriage.

SIKAII-2 Program

Location: Twenty Local Government of Kapilvastu , Dang ,Banke & Bardiya District Funding Partner: VSO 2025 September -December 2027 SIKAI II aims to ensure that all children achieve age-appropriate foundational learning outcomes by addressing socio-cultural barriers, strengthening school governance, and institutionalizing the Big Sister (Mentoring) Model within the education system.

SAMA-SAMA Program

Location: Six Local Government of Kapilvastu , Rupendehi & Nawalparasi District Funding Partner: CECI 2025 November -December 2028 The objective of the SAMA-SAMA Program is to strengthen community resilience and improve the well-being of vulnerable groups. Implemented by Siddhartha Social Development Center (SSDC), the program aims to enhance access to essential services and promote social inclusion. It focuses on empowering communities, supporting local governance, and fostering active citizen participation. Overall, the project seeks to create safer, more equitable, and sustainable community environments.

Local Right Program (LRP-42 Program)

Location: Shivraj  Municipality Kapilvastu Funding Partner: Action Aid Nepal International 2022 June -December 2027 Siddhartha Social Development Center, Kapilvastu, with support from ActionAid International Nepal, implements the Local Rights Program (LRP) using a Human Rights-Based Approach. The program focuses on poverty elimination, social inclusion, and gender equality, promoting empowered and rights-aware communities through inclusive and sustainable development efforts.

Building Empowered and Resilient community by strengthening livelihoods, inclusion, education and food security (BELIEF Program)

Location: Banganga Municipality Kapilvastu Funding Partner: Stromme Foundation 2024 January – December 2025 The BELIEF Program envisions to empowered and resilient communities where marginalized families live with dignity and equity. It aims to ensure inclusive, quality education for all children and adolescents, especially the disadvantaged. The program promotes livelihood opportunities to reduce poverty and strengthen economic self-reliance. It seeks to improve food security and nutrition among vulnerable households and BELIEF strengthens community institutions such as TBS and local participation so people can claim their rights and sustain development.
